I'm New to Networking. Should I Still Attend?
Absolutely! Many of our members attended their first networking event through NGEC. Our community is intentionally designed to be welcoming, approachable, and accessible for professionals at every stage of their career. Whether you’re new to the industry or simply new to networking, you’ll find a supportive environment where making connections feels natural.
Is There an Age Limit for NGEC Events?
No. We never restrict participation based on age. While our community is primarily focused on emerging professionals and many of our members are under 40, we welcome anyone who connects with our mission and wants to support the next generation of event, hospitality, and tourism professionals.
Do I Have to Be a Member to Attend Events?
No. Most NGEC events are open to both members and non-members. We host numerous events throughout the year that anyone can attend. However, members receive exclusive benefits, including free or discounted event tickets, access to member-only events, and additional opportunities to engage with the community.
What's the Difference Between Attending Events and Becoming a Member?
Attendees experience the value of individual events, while members become part of the NGEC community year-round.

What Should I Wear to NGEC Events?
Business casual is appropriate for most NGEC events. Some outdoor, experiential, or activity-based events may call for more casual or athletic attire. Event-specific recommendations will always be included in the registration details.
